Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically flawless and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (such as cookies used for analyzing your surfing behavior) are stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

The basis for data processing is art. 6 par. 1 lit. b GDPR which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or pre-contractual measures.
4. SOCIAL MEDIA
Share content via plugins (Facebook, Google+1, Twitter & Co.)
The content on our sites can be shared in social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ in compliance with data privacy. For this, the site uses the so-called Shariff solution. This procedure establishes direct contact between the networks and users only when the user actively clicks on one of these buttons. An automatic transfer of user data to the operators of these platforms is not carried out by this tool. If the user is logged in to one of the social networks, using the social buttons of Facebook, Google + 1, Twitter & co. will prompt an information window in which the user can confirm the text before submitting. Our users can share content on this page in a data privacy-compliant manner on social networks without having complete surf profiles created by the networks’ operators.
Facebook plugins (Like & Share buttons)
Integrated on our site are plugins of the social network Facebook, provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. The Facebook plugins can be identified by the Facebook logo or the "Like-Button" ("Like") on our site. An overview of the Facebook plug-ins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. When visiting our sites, the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook thereby receives information that you have visited our site using your IP address. When clicking on the Facebook "Like-Button" while being logged in to your Facebook account, you may link the contents of our sites to your Facebook profile. As a result, Facebook can assign the visit to our sites to your user account. We point out that as provider of the websites we are not aware of the content of the data transmitted and their use by Facebook. For more information, please refer to the Facebook Privacy Policy at: https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php. If you do not wish Facebook to associate your visit to our sites with your Facebook user account, please log out from your Facebook user account.
Twitter plugin
Functions of the Twitter service are integrated on our sites. These features are made available through Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the "Re-Tweet" function, the websites you visit will be linked to your Twitter account and shared with other users. In the course of this, data is also transmitted to Twitter. We point out that as provider of the websites we are not aware of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Twitter. For more information, see the Twitter Privacy Policy at: https://twitter.com/privacy. You can change your Twitter privacy settings in the account settings at https://twitter.com/account/settings.

Your + 1's can appear as clues along with your profile name and photo on Google services, such as in search results or in your Google profile, or elsewhere on websites and ads on the Internet. Google records information about your +1 activity to improve Google services for you and others. Using the Google+ button requires a globally visible, public Google profile that must contain at least the name chosen for the profile. This name will be used in all Google services. In some cases, this name may also replace a different name you used when sharing content through your Google Account. The identity of your Google profile may be displayed to users who know your email address or possess other identifying information of you. Use of information collected: In addition to the purposes outlined above, the information you provide will be used subject to applicable Google privacy policy. Google may publish summarized statistics about users' +1 activity or share it with users and partners, such as publishers, advertisers, or affiliate websites.

Our website uses social plugins from the Pinterest social network operated by Pinterest Inc., 808 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94103-490, USA ("Pinterest"). This log data may include your IP address, the address of the visited websites that also contain Pinterest features, browser type and settings, date and time of the request, how you use Pinterest, as well as cookies. Cookies and reports on access numbers
We use "session cookies" from VG Wort, Munich, to measure access to texts in order to record the copy probability. Session cookies are small pieces of information that a provider stores in the memory of the visitor's computer. In a session cookie, a randomly generated, unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored. In addition, a cookie contains information about its origin and the retention period. Session cookies cannot save other data. These measurements are carried out by INFOnline GmbH according to the Scalable Central Measurement Method (“Skalierbares Zentrales Messverfahren”, SZM). They help to determine the copying probability of individual texts for the remuneration of legal claims of authors and publishers. We do not collect any personal data through cookies. Many of our sites are provided with JavaScript invocations through which we report access to the collecting society Wort (VG Wort). We thereby enable our authors to participate in the payouts of the VG Wort which complies with the legal remuneration for the use of copyrighted works in accordance with par. 53 German copyright act (“Urhebergesetz”, UrhG). Use of our offers is possible without cookies. Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser to notify you when cookies are sent.
Privacy policy for the use of Scalable Central Measurement Method
Our website and our mobile website use the "Scalable Central Measurement Method" (SZM, see “Cookies and reports on access numbers”) of the INFOnline GmbH (https://www.infonline.de) for the determination of statistical parameters for determining the copy probability of texts. Anonymous measurement values are collected. The measurement of access numbers alternatively uses a session cookie or a signature, created from various automatically transmitted information of your browser, to recognize computer systems. IP addresses are processed only in an anonymous form. The procedure was developed in compliance with data protection. The only objective of the procedure is to determine the copy probability of individual texts. At no time individual users are identified. Your identity remains protected at all times. You will not receive advertising through the system.
